Bottle from Bierboetiek De Zythotheek, Valkenburg. Herbal aroma with anise, chamomile, some grassy hops and yeast. Flavour is light to moderate bittersweet, medium body. Rather herbal but relatively well done.

Bottle from Bierboetiek De Zythotheek, Valkenburg. Caramel malt upfront with spicy yeast, brown malts, spices, notes of raisins and brown sugar. Flavour is mild to medium sweet, light bitter. Body a bit thinner than I'd like.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark brown colored brew with sweet bitter taste, mostly bitter. Hints of caramel, banana, dried fruits and spices. Now this beer had to be brewed in Valkenburg itself, to counter against that silly quote.

Tap at Cafe de Grendelpoort, Valkenburg: Hazy blond/orange coloured brew with an dry bitter taste and an well balanced overdose of herbs.

33cl Fles van de Zythotheek. Oranje-amber kleur, witte kraag. Zoetig, licht moutig, gist, fruitig, dun, appels, waterig, lichtbittere finish. Lichte body. Matig bier.

Bottle thnx to a friend bought at the store/cafe. black beer, small head. Aroma is roast, smoke, pepper, coffee, malt. Taste is the same, pepper, bitter, roast, coffee, malt, quite nice.

03/08/2019 - draught glass @Grendelpoort, Valkenburg. Dark brown, nice creamy head. Nose is dark matls, bit frutis, caramel. Taste is same; as the Bleiken, simple but correct.
