Can. Clear amber, a good 2cm of dense cream head that lasts well. Aroma of breadcrust, spices. So it tastes - a little fruity as well. Quite punchy peppery bitter finish. Refreshing. Devilbend are on a bit of a tear.

Can. Very clear gold, white head doesn't last. Crackery aroma with hints of toast, lemon blossom and spices. Briefly rich and a little earthy with firm bitterness and spices. Pretty good. Like the finish.

Pours deep amber/copper with a small head.
Nose shows toffee, caramel, butterscotch. Moreish.
Flavours include a bit more toffee, burnt caramel, almond/marzipan and a earthy bitter finish. Perhaps a bit lacklustre.

Pours amber with a large sudsy head.
Nose shows pine, clean sweet malt, grapefruit.
Flavours a fair whack of malt followed by a similar whack of pine and resinous hops. Quite assertive. Finishes with an aggressive bitterness.
A fair bit over carbonated though.

Can. Amber with a dense cm+ of white head that laces well. Rich aroma of hay, biscuit, light spices. Completely avoids stewed fruit. Not that sweet but very malty with relieving moderate bitterness and hints of booze. Very impressive.

Can. Very dark brown with a ~cm of light tan head. Roasty aroma with bitter chocolate, light spices. Medium bodied, perhaps a little fizzy. Coffee creeps up from behind roast and bitter chocolate. There's a little stone fruit and spice as it approaches a moderately bitter finish. Nice balance. Good.

Can. Unclear pale amber, lovely 3/2cm white head. Aroma of grapefruit, weeds, light breadcrust, pine. Some sticky breadcrust sweetness, citrus that's as much kumquat as grapefruit, resin that struggles alittle against the sweetness. Firm bitterness at an off dry end. Nice creamy texture. Good stuff.

Tap at Hop Shop, Frankston. Pours unclear orange with white foam. Spicy wheaty aroma, weizen spices and esters abound. Taste: mid sweet, wheaty, more esters, spicy. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Can, part of their Oktoberfest mixed 6. Light brown with a cm of pale beige head. Aroma of brown bread, hints of nuts and spices. Both richer and considerably more bitter than suggested by the aroma.

Can, part of their Oktoberfest mixed pack. Almost clear amber with a near white head. Nice rich, smokey breadcrust aroma. Perhaps not surprisingly it's quite like their Märzen with a little more depth of malty flavours. Like it, I wouldn't have minded just a little more grunt. But the smoke is nicely judged and there's a nice cleansing spicy bitterness to finish.
