Slow, reluctantly building-up, almost transparent-white head over big-bubbled veiled redcopper beer. Oxydation, bready, Madeira, bit of ureum, brown candi sugar. NB: well withing its BBd. Premature oxydation returning in the taste - maybe lightstruck as well? -, thinnish. Like watered-down maltsyrup. In the very finish there's a leafy bitterness, horsechestnut. 330ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colou rwith ruby shimmer and huge, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Grainy, spelty, minimally bready, dark malty aroma, herbal hoppy hints of mint, menthol, eucalyptus, a touch of pumpernickel and cocoa. Taste is bitter, herbal-grassy hoppy, roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness, hints of mint, menthol, eucalyptus, woodruff, all accompanied by rather unspecific fruitiness, weak coffee and pumpernickel basic layer. More Black IPA than Dark Lager IMO (besides the label says Dark Ale). Somewhat idiosyncratic - OK.

Dark amber with a creamy, sticky head. Aroma of (predictably) caramel, bordering on toffee. Apples underneath. Taste is bittersweet trending bitter at the end, a mix of herbal and faint metallic. Full bodied, mild carbonation. Good.

0,33 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Pours out black with a small one finger beige head. Low choco an coffee smell. Taste has roasty malt, some licorice, some sour fruits in the background. Dry hoppy.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately dark malty, minimally smoky and spicy aroma, doughy, yeasty overtones, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of cinnamon, tonka beans, spiced chocolate cake. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately and spicy, minimally nutty and smoky, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, a touch of tonka beans, some roasty bitterness, very subtle sweetness. Quite dry, minimally watery, a bit cautious - nice composition overall.
