330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately dark malty, minimally smoky and spicy aroma, doughy, yeasty overtones, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of cinnamon, tonka beans, spiced chocolate cake. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately and spicy, minimally nutty and smoky, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, a touch of tonka beans, some roasty bitterness, very subtle sweetness. Quite dry, minimally watery, a bit cautious - nice composition overall.

Almost black with a thin, frothy head. Chocolate aroma with berry notes. Taste is bittersweet, full of licorice, turning more bitter and a touch salty and metallic near the end. Heavy body, soft carbonation, oily. Not bad.

Bottle at a tasting. Grassy vegetal aroma and the same dominates the taste. I do not get any of the special ingredients - maybe only a little bit of rauch malt. Very thin body, feels watery, lacks the hard roast defining a stout. Really not my favourite.
