bottle, bought at Markthalle Abensberg. Clear dark brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Intensive aroma of roasetd malts. Malty, with intensive flavours of roasetd malt and caramel. Medium-bodied, pleasantly hoppy with hints of dark chocolate and cocoa powder in the lingering finish. A delicious Dunkel.

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Hazy golden orange colour with mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, citrusfruits, some mildabana and yeasty. Flavour is wheat, yeast, some banana, citrusfruits and mild herbal notes. Refreshing, but otherwise quite standard. A bit strong on the yeasty/herbal side.

Bottle: Clear, golden, big stable and lacey head, quiet carbonation - some lonesome bubbles visible; moderate strawy-grainy nose with an almost fruity touch; moderate to solid sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; a bisquity touch is detectable in the lemony-grainy finish. Not a very great pleasure........

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange/brown with a light tan and slowly diminishing head. Fruity ester aroma with a light breadish malt note. Flavour is bitter and light acidic with a nice breadish yet also fruity ester flavour following. Lingering breadish and fruity finish. Light spiced touch too. Nice one.

The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass also. Quite dark. Tastes roasty and smoky, modest malty and yeasty. Strange but good!
