Taster at Woodland Empire. Dark brown pour with patchy, fine head, streaky lacing. Aroma is roasty malts and dark chocolate. Taste brings faint smoky notes, light roast, chocolate, mild sweetness. Really nice.

Taster flight at BitterCreek. Clear golden pour, filmy head, fine bubbles. Bready, biscuity aroma. Taste is grainy, sweet and a light hoppy buzz up front. From there it tapers off, ending with a whimper.

Half pour at Woodland. Near black pour, fluffy beige head, lacing. Roasty aroma, chocolate, light coffee. Taste is mildly bitter, roasty, coffee present but not overpowering. Pleasant.
