16 oz tallboy. Aroma is sweet bready malts, wet river rock. Pours nearly clear golden with a quickly collapsing bone-white head. Taste has a moderate herbal hop bitterness and is not nearly as malty sweet as I was expecting (thankfully). I know they’re trying to create an old school American pale lager here with the retro branding and everything, but this is much more interesting and better with that assertive hop bitterness. Has a fuller body than those lagers of yore,,as well. Not bad.

Draft at Schweitzer Fall Fest. Pours clear golden with a one finger off-white head that settles into a ring quickly. Aroma is mildly floral, some lemon. Taste is very basic, like a golden ale with mild floral tones. Not very saison like.

Draft at Diablo & Sons. Almost black pour with a ring of beige head. Boozy, malty aroma catches me the moment they place it front of me. Chocolaty, boozy, malty, roasty, sweet. Velvety smooth too.
