No style of beer can better represent the place it comes from than light lager. Locally sourced Idaho Gem hops, native to Idaho and 100% LINC Pilsner malt from barley grown in Idaho. Light body and crisp finish that doesn't linger. Old Boise Lager, produced in downtown Boise, is 100% from our home State of Idaho.

16 oz tallboy. Aroma is sweet bready malts, wet river rock. Pours nearly clear golden with a quickly collapsing bone-white head. Taste has a moderate herbal hop bitterness and is not nearly as malty sweet as I was expecting (thankfully). I know they’re trying to create an old school American pale lager here with the retro branding and everything, but this is much more interesting and better with that assertive hop bitterness. Has a fuller body than those lagers of yore,,as well. Not bad.

Can: pours pale and fizzy. Aroma is corny and bready. Macroish. Sweet and lightly sour. Meh.

I don't know where this come from, or why I have it, but I can't wait to taste this pounder can. I am a cheap pale lager lover by craft trade. Forget effen IPA. Yes, it is bland and it is civilized like any good domestic cheap pale lager should be. It also has a crisp pale lager nose, how bout that? Who likes a brew that's in yer face? Not me, the great american lager lover. This stuff is good, this stuff is satisfying and this stuff is friendly; what else can be said? Its good and its thirst quenching, thank you. The color? Cum now; its a cheap pale lager. What else would it be but the obvious clear light yellow, with lots of showing co2, pale bubbly eye? You got it babe. Fresh, easy, nice and peazy. What else can be said, reprized? Especially since it won't knock your head off with an overly abundant ABV content? There you have it. A simple decent drinkin pale lager for enjoying a hot summer day. Yummy. Could even cut a couple of acres of lawn grass with this brew.

Can share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing.

Thank you BuckeyeBoy! 355 ml. can sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Apparently this is a Budweiser clone of sort, produced by a craft brewery in order to rip off beer geeks. I should be upset but I find it hilarious. Pale golden, little white head. nose is weak sugar, corn, sugar, bland, grains, faintly vegetable. Taste is weak vegetables, corn, sugar, stale, grains, low vegetables. Body is weak, oily, poor, corn, sugar. Didn’t get into it but the scores on here are pretty good. Apparently they are discontinuing it now despite demand.

Shared by buckeyeboy at RBBWG. Moussy, snow white, medium thick, stable head, lightly hazy golden blonde with greenish tinge. Aroma of ’green’ grains, raw celery, soap, freshly cut grass, soggy corn, minerals. Neutral onset, typically lager, bit minerally, grainy and cereally, ’rounded’ middle, tad soapy and corn-like, grassy and very lightly floral bitterish touch in the finish; in all, tasting like a bland standard pale lager, but not the worst one around. I was hoping for an IPL (the fragrance of New World hops applied to pale lager) but this is apparently a craft brewery’s interpretation (or even parody) of industrial pale lager - and in that they have succeeded.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver; 4.5% ABV
Hazy pale blond color. Nice crackery malts, dry but also soft mouthfeel, a bit grassy, and with a hint of summer honey. Low-ish bitterness.
Nice.
