Description
Rascals Brewing was founded in 2014 by Emma Devlin and Cathal O’Donoghue.
The pair were living and working in New Zealand and developed a taste and passion for the booming Kiwi craft beer industry. In the spirit of adventure, they decided to change careers entirely and set up their own craft brewery back home in Dublin. Sure, why not?

Creamy off white head stayed on a hazy light copper coloured still body. Malt & whisky aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a smooth back & tickle down the throat. Bitter orange, clove, spices, tangy & light hops tastes with a zesty whisky finish. Unusual - Loving it!

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, very big tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, mild dark chocolate. Fruity bourbon, slightly tangy. Very modest spice. Light finish. Serviceable but nothing special.

Can at home, 29/12/19. Moderate haze on an orange pour with a decent egg shell white head. Nose is orange pith, papaya, creamy malts, grass, light pine, mandarin. Taste comprises grapefruit zest, airy malts, light pine, melon, citric pith, mango. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness. Solid easy drinking and well balanced IPA.

Can from Unorthodox. High carbonation, well attenuated. Malt in the backbone, clean crystal, otherwise hops centered, standard tropical citrusy fare. Very easy drinking, the definition of a great sessionable IPA. Very good.
