Clear dark golden with a thin white head. Malty aroma with some citrus and light caramel. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Mai bock-ish but tasty.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, auburn colour with weak ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of fudge, toasted nuts, whiffs of marzipan. Taste is slightly nutty, dark and caramel malty, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, a touch of fudge, marzipan, mildly bitter, hoppy counterpart.
Watery texture, soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Low sweetness, not the most flattering flavours - so-so.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown and toasted malts with caramel, hint of roast and chocolate. Flavour is moderate bitersweet. Body could be a bit more robust, but I appreciate the malty aroma and the bitterness.

Fles thuis geprobeerd.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', best before December 2026. A little hazy, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and light raisins. Quite sweet malty, moderately bitter, minimally fruity taste of caramel, nuts, some cocoa and traces of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Bock, very well-balanced.

33cl Fles van Katjeskelder parkshop. Licht mistig oranjegouden kleur, witte kraag. Lichte body. Voelt zwaarder dan 4%. OK-ish.

Golden colour with light haze and lasting thin head. Aroma has some residual pale malt sugars. The pale malt comes through just as well in the taste. Next to that a rounded bitterness with light floral notes. Decent.
