Solid IPA, with a Juicy Fruit sweetness underlying the pine and citrus front. Moderate bitterness on the back end levels things out. Not bad.

Bitterness is the most prominent aspect, with a firm pine hop base allowing mild notes of citrus and caramel-cocoa to peek through the oily woodiness oozing from the hops. Love the style, just not this representation.

Notes of toast, yeast, apple, and a touch of nutty earthiness. Finishes clean with a slight floral bitter streak. Eh.

More pepper than anything, with a pronounced capsaicin bite laced with notes of cocoa and a not-to-subtle metallic undertone. Needs a stronger base beer to stand up to the chiles.

Excellent Mexican hot chocolate stout. Vanilla and cinnamon provide a coconut undertone, and the coffee adds a mild acidity to the back end. The peppers are very subtle—almost too much so—but do add the slightest prick of heat to the fade. Tasty pint.
