Tap at Soundgrowler. Light, wheaty, sort of tastes young, creamy. Nice earthy smoke tone. A pinch watery.

Tap at Soundgrowler. At 4.4% this is definitely the lowest ABV Baltic Porter I've ever had. Great appearance, deep unfiltered brown, translucent edges. Kind of a great Porter. Low ABV really lets all the components shine. Rich, sweet malts..doughy body, pleasant clean lager notes differentiate it from a Stout but still overlaps with a Porter well. Good.

Tap at Soundgrowler. Kind of bright and soapy, hoppy, resinous for the style. Not really true to style...kind of a smoky APA.... drinkable but odd.

Can, from Beermiscuous, Chicago. Pours faintly cloudy lemon yellow with a foamy whitish head that flops fast, grain aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter malty taste, thin body, long finish. Decent lager.

Flight Taster at Soundgrowler. Markedly clearer than the Orange Haze I had before this. BUT, the nose actually has a bit more orange, and maybe some papaya. A much sharper Pacific Northwest hob bite, but it's also thick with malts and alcohol, so that the overdone elements are at least balanced. I tend not to differentiate one double IPA from another, but I agree that this would be a favorite of many hopheads.

Flight taster at Soundgrowler. Very slight haze, with a thin ring of leggy foam. No surprises in the smell, a good sign in a light style. Even more hop note than in the previous beers (Mexican lagers). Toasty malts at hand. Some flowery hop, maybe even a note of hibiscus. But yes, a nice dry finish.

Cooler 16 oz. can from Soundgrowler. Well, they're big on lagers and hazies, I decided to go a different way. Hazy gold color poured in a Stella glass. Well=behaved, rapidly dwindling head of white foam. Toasty malt nose, with just a bit of fermentation funk. Rather tasty, and indeed funky. Sometimes, the faux Belgian beers go south in a brewery that tries to do this as a side. But this is pretty solid, a table beer in that you'll want to sit and enjoy this instead of slamming it while mowing the lawn.

Flight taster. Truly hazy yellow, more leggy foam. The Amarillo cat box smell I first noticed way back with my first Gumballhead. Thick and chewy beer, with some fruit, a not of citrus, and pine resin bitterness. Hoppy and fruity like you'd expect.

Sample at Soundgrowler. A bit more color than the Tortilla Hands. This one is done with less corn. Rather nondescript, light beer nose. Frankly, more in the BudMiller wheelhouse. A bit of sharp hop in the palate. Just circling back to regular beers lets me see what I like about it in the first place.
