22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/23/2015. Pours pitch black color with a 2 finger fairly dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee/peanut butter notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Moderate amount of herbal/roasted coffee bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee/peanut butter flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice peanut butter coffee stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted/bready malt and coffee/peanut butter flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. The peanut butter flavors weren’t too big, but still had really nice overall balance with the base beer flavor. A very enjoyable offering.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grain and bread with some grass and a bit of pine backing. Flavor is grain and straw forward with a light grassiness underlying.

can - Black pour, tan head with a pleasant roast malt and coffee aroma. It has a robust dark roast malt and coffee flavor with some chocolate character. Full flavored and very drinkable. Well done.

Can. Deep golden body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, resin, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fairly routine stuff. Hop forward taste of grapefruit, pine, lingering bitterness.

Draft. Light amber body with an off-white head. Light aroma of caramel and toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Average at best. A bit grainy with a light plastic aftertaste.

tap at the brewery - This IPA smells of citrus and tropical fruit. It has a tasty, bitter, citrusy flavor and a medium body. Lingering bitterness. Really good.

tap at the brewery - This beer has a nice, forward strawberry smell as it warms. It’s light, sweet, and fruity, a pleasant brew though it has a pretty weak beer underlying that tasty fruit.
