Can. Cloudy golden body with a huge, fluffy off-white head. Aroma of lemon, orange, floral hops, toasted grain, grapefruit, orange. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Nice flavor profile (considering how many IPAs are now citrus based) though the hops could be brighter and the beer crisper.

Dark brown coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of rye, a bit of grain and a small amount of earthy and floral hops. Medium-bodied; Nice pungent hops up front with a grassy and floral bite then showing some excellent malt balance by the toasted malt and grain. Aftertaste shows a smooth balance, a good dose of bittering hops and some more floral and fragrant complexities at the end. Overall, a nice and relatively pungent beer with some nice flavours and a smooth but noticeable complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan yesterday on 10-December-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Dearborn, Michigan on 11-December-2016.

Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a dark ruddy burnt orange color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice slow pace. Mild lacing.
The aroma has some pumpkin flavor, a good amount of spice - allspice, ginger, and cinnamon. Light pie crust.
The flavor leans to the sweet side with the pumpkin and the crust. Spices show a bit of a blend to it. Sly pumpkin aftertaste. Blended sweet to spicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation seems alright.
Overall, good pumpkin ale that I could have again.

Sample at the brewpub. Pitch black color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium body with a smokey malt and barbecue character, with some coffee and chocolate in the background. The finish is smokey salted meat and malt. It’s a gimmicky premise but an above average beer overall.
