Taste at the Coaltrain IPA Madness tasting. Pours a clear, bright, golden color, with a medium, fine, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is papaya, dust, black pepper, pine, and bread. Sweet and malty, with a sharp bitterness. Medium body, with a hard, crisp mouthfeel. This is a pretty nice, straightforward IPA.

Can - lightly hazy gold - medium sweet, moderately astringent, light underlying fusel alcohol flavors, acidic citrus - messy meh beer - real disappointment from this brewer.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, gold color, with a medium, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is straw, honeysuckle, grains, and mild butterscotch. Sweet, with a sharp, mild bitterness. Light body, with a smooth, crisp mouthfeel. This is a simple and clean beer.

Taster at the brewery. Pours black, with a medium, foamy, and persistent, tan head. The aroma is bitter chocolate, tobacco, caramel, and pine. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a grainy, sharp mouthfeel. This is a mild, and well made stout.
