Bottled 330ml. -from Hoppiness Koper. Black coloured, big brown head, hops and chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, bitter hops and chocolate with hint of rye bread. Also notes of chocolate in rather strong bitter finish. Not so balanced.

Tap @ Kaapse Brouwers. Very dark brown colour, beige head. Nose is roasted malts, pine hops, bit of coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, pine hops, bit of grapefruits. Smooth roastiness. Finish is fairly bitter. Good stuff.

Tap @ Kaapse Brouwers. Hazy dark orange colour, off-white head. Nose is grainy, oranges, grapefruits. Flavour is grainy, grapefruits, pine, caramel malts. Medium carbonation. Soft, creamy mouthfeeling. Finish is bitter and fruity. Odd but enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Herbal, piney hoppy aroma, hints of grapefruit, roasty dark malty background, hints of coffee, a touch of liquorice. Taste is herbal and bitter hoppy, piney, hints of grapefruit, roasty dark malty basis with hints of coffee, dark chocolate and a touch of liquorice. Excellent!

Slabszy to owsiany mocny stout. Piana znikoma kolor czarny niprzeswitujacy. Aromat kawowy. W smaku likierowy posmak alkoholu, nieco kawy czekolady slodkiej i na koniec jeszcze raz uderza rozgrzewajacy alkohol i ponownie mocna kawa. Alkohol jest wyczuwalny w tym piwie ale podobmy do rumowego.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Kaapse Brouwers Bea ].Clear dark black brown color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, light to moderate hoppy, pine, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee - roasted bitter, chocolate - malt sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140720]

Tasting at Bruce’s pad, thanks to this Bois, 12/06/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a big old tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast, dark malt, earthy hop wafts. Taste comprises light roast, dark berry fruits, Ribena pangs, earthy hops, light cocoa rubbings. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Decent CDA.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, hops, flowers and malt. Nice bitter finish.
