Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy orange color, huge white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is lightly malty, incredibly fruity, citrus, grapefruit, loads of hops. Wow, very refreshing and lovely hoppy, I love the fruit hops and grapefruit aroma. Taste is malts, loads of hops, pretty bitter, lightly grassy, very fruity, again citrus and grapefruit. This is one of the best IPA’s I’ve tasted in quite some time. Very impressive! Medium to full body, a bit too highly carbonated. A superb balance between fruit hops and bitter hops. Great stuff. -- Note: second time I tried it the beer was considerably less good. Bottle was however not kept in perfect circumstances so that could be the reason. Because I just can’t be sure I’m going to leave the score as my original rating was.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Kaapse Brouwers Karel ].Unclear medium amber orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, sweet mandarin. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet orange - mandarin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140316]

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, herbs, grass, moderate yeasty, fruity, soap, pineapple. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, yeasty, soapy, sharp, zesty, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140316]

Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury and drunk at home. Deep amber light mahogany colour lasting beige head. It’s got some hops, it’s quite balanced subtle and understated. Some caramel toffee some bitterness. It’s a nicely balanced strong hoppy beer. Not amaze balls but drinkable and likeable enough

Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury and drunk at home. Hazy amber lasting near white head. Big hoppy aroma. Piney resiny hops. Lovely light American pale ale. Resin grapefruit pine bitter. Again just a very very decent APA. I thought it was pretty tasty.

330ml bottle @ the 5th Shrewsbury Bottle share May 14, courtesy of Paolo. I’m going to completely disagree with Master Haddock below and say I really liked this. Got a lovely fresh aroma and juicy tropical citrus taste. Admittedly it did mellow quickly, but I found it an enjoyable, fruity APA.

Cheers Paulo, 330ml bottle shared between four at the May Shrewsbury Bottle Swap. Poured a cloudy old gold colour with a thin white head. Hoppy in nature with a mild citrus hint within the nose and taste, fruity with a slight mango trace to off-set the dry bitterness of the citrus base flavours. Different and almost interesting, a little bland compared to some of the beers tasted around it, so calling bland may be a bit unfair.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, thin light-beige head. Aroma of peanutbutter, rice crispies or manna candy, veggies (after having had a few high abv oatmeal stouts, I think it’s the oatmeal), dark fruits, alcohol, hard-roasted malts, liquorice. Flavour also has peanuts, veggies, vodka, ash, hard-roasted malts, liqourice, toffee, roast bitter finish, coffee. Medium-bodied. Good, but I’m not a fan of the veggies.
