*The cider starts a bit watery, highly drinkable. The body could be a bit more deep, but nice cider-apple tart. Furry on the tongue. The aftertaste is medium, a bit watery and dry-tart. Ok.

Refrescante. No está nada mal, pelín aguada si acaso.

Boks fra lokal supermercado i Cala Major, Palma Mallorca: klar gylden med kort hvitt skum. Snev av malt og humle. Man får hva man betaler for (0.45 euro).

Cheap supermarket lager, in this case for Carrefour, brewed at Bavaria. From a rather dull 50 cl can. Moussy, regular, ’dirty’ white head of medium size sitting on top of a cristal clear, pure golden blonde beer with fierce sparkling. Aroma of sugar corn, damp cloth, iron, sugarloaf, faint hints of industrial apple juice, sweaty grains, banana candy and melting plastic. Spritzy onset as expected, somewhat souring carbonation, sweet graininess, corn slickness, lightly oily but otherwise thin mouthfeel, clearly metallic with a thin, watery, neutral finish only showing a brief, elusive floral hop bitter accent. Boring, corn-like, insufficiently hopped, grainy and metallic ’macro lager’, as expected, and like there are countless other ones in Europe alone.

Alcohol free lager sold in cans at Carrefour supermarkets, apparently brewed by Bavaria (not a good sign). Refinedly cobweb lacing, cream white, regular, stable head, colour deep and pure, cristal clear golden with fairly strong fizz. Aroma of popcorn, industrial caramel candy, iron, damp cloth, ice tea. Grainy flavour, sweetish and thin with a dull sourish touch, slick and metallic, simple and straightforward with medium carbo, wet (not to say rotting) grains retronasally, ending in medium, bit resiny bitterness, grassy, but also a bit wry and chemical (plastic). My expectations of this were very low obviously, let’s just say it is not worse than expected, but it does not distinguish itself in any way: this is a generic, totally bland and thin alcohol free lager like so many others. The rotting grains and weird popcorn sweetness in the nose do not invite to have a sip so I keep wondering who drinks this kind of crap...

50 cl can. Extra forte. Sweet malty aroma. Faint bitterness. Flavor is malty and slightly caramelly. Almost almond hoppy. End is boozy and warming
