Aroma is floury with grassy hops and some ripe fruits - feels a bit like hefeweizen. Flavour is yeasty and floury with some grassy hops, ripe fruits and hints of cardboard. Also hints of spices and gingerbread. A bit messy, like a dunkelweizen with belgian hops.

Appearance: Hazy golden color with a fine white head that leaves an ok lacing.
Aroma: Mild malty, a bit fruity and mild citric hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine mild bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild citric hoppy on a fine malty background. Some fruity and mild flowery notes..
Overall impression: Nothing wrong with this beer. Just very mild, just as an English special bitter.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with oh6gdx

Draught @ Villi Wäinö, Helsinki
Pours dark orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of berries, spices, caramely malts and slight fruity notes. Taste is malty and sweetish with notes of berries, yeast, fruits, hints of gooseberries and seabuckthorn. Finish is hoppy, slightly tart and caramely with hints of seabuckthorn and berries. Quite unique beer, but feels a bit unbalanced.

(Re-rate, keg at Oljenkorsi, 20130831) The flavour had not so much seabuckthorn than the previous batch I tried. Therefore the end result was more balanced and cleaner than the previous version.
(Keg at Villi Wäinö, 20130701) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had fruitiness, berries and malts. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, seabuckthorn, Belgian style yeast, sweetness, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, spicy and bitter. A messy brew and probably the leftovers of the keg. Old rating: 6-2-5-2-11=2.6

Tap at Villi Waino, Helsinki. Colour is hazy dark orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Berries, sea-buckthorn, Belgian yeast, sourness, spices and malts. Taste of sea-buckthorn dominates and and covers up everything else too much. Definitely interesting but little bit of dissapointing. Had pint of this one couple of months later 31082013.. Beer is aging very good and gettin much more softer. Sea-buckthorn is not so aggressive anymore and drinkability is better. Points 2.9 -> 3.3.

50cl bottle from Alko. Poured dark brown with a thin white head. Low carb, almost flat. Aroma is quite pleasant with mild yeasty notes, dark fruits and roasted malt. Flavor has quite the same things, some berries in the quite sweet finish. Easy drinkin brew.

A dark brown beer with an almost medium, but quickly losing, beige head. Aroma is interesting and quite complex, roastiness, nuts, some chocolate, liquirice and spices, only hint of dark fruits. Taste is quite dry, some dark malts, dry wood, herbs and some fruits. Medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth. Surprisingly, fresh and light to drink. "The monks road" is the curvy, bumby, straightforward journey with ramps. Very positive surprise, not too sweet, tasteful and easy to enjoy.

Flavour is ripe fruits, mild toasted notes, some rye and mild yeastyness. Mild juniperlike notes as well. Actually a very pleasant beer.

Draught @ HBF
Aroma is sweetish with much caramel, citrus, resin and exotic fruits. Flavour is sweet and a bit odd with glue, caramel, some citrus and chlorine. Nice, although the savors disturb a bit.
