Nose is ripe tropicana, grass, pine needle, hop spice.
Taste comprises mandarin, stone fruit, papya, lychee.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come resinous hop bitterness.

Can (4/28/26) from the brewery. Cloudy orange juice, tons of sparkle, thin head quickly fading to a ring, trace lacing. Aroma is herb over nondescript fruit. Taste is strong nondescript fruit, later mild white grape, grass, soda cracker. Smooth texture, medium bodied, average carbonation, slightly astringent, dry, yeasty finish with mild lingering bitterness. Not as good as Witches Watch.

Can (4/28/26) from the brewery. Cloudy, banana-smoothie yellow, light sparkle, thin head with poor retention, no lacing. Aroma is strong white grape over citrus and orchard fruit. Vaguest initial hint of herb. Taste is strong white grape over orchard fruit, citrus backdrop and bread. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Really juicy and (good) Nelson is able to shine through.

Can from Left Field Beers. Nice nose of pineapple, mango, papaya, peach, nectarine, oodles of sweet fruits. Rich flavours of grapefruit, mango, papaya, peach, apricot, guava, pineapple. Robust sweet fruity finish. Next level stuff.

Canned 4/28, drunk 7/2/26. With huge thanks to tfontana for my first Deep Fried Beer! (and my first Wayward Lane not too long before that). Excited to finally try these guys!
Big, fruity, yeasty esters and lots of tangelo, melon and fresh citrus. Atypical, somewhat, for Nelson, though there is some white grape. Clean, no alcohol or resin, though maybe a bit timid on the malt? At least it's not sweet/sugary.
Richly, richly-hopped with spice, white wine, peppery herb and unripe tropical fruits. Some definite passion fruit and a supple, deep maltiness that is also properly attenuated showing neither excess sugar nor syrup. Good, not overdone bitterness and not getting any alcohol. Maybe not the most personality; hard to peg this one, but it's certainly well-made beer and I look forward to trying more from these guys.
