Description
Outer Range was founded on the belief that our beers should transport you to the same rugged yet majestic mountain peaks that surround and inspire us every day. Our breweries in the Colorado Rockies and the French Alps are here to help you escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, to a place where friends and family can reconnect with nature while creating exceptional moments. We believe these moments are elevated when what's poured into your glass is carefully crafted and inspired by the mountains themselves.

Pale yellow colour with light haze and fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have lots of citrus. Seems like mandarin zest and juice. Not very bitter. Especially fresh and clean for the style.

Kölsch as interpreted by Outer Range, a brewery in Colorado which also set up a second plant in the French Alps in Europe, which is where this can came from. Thanks Hinke! Thinnish, snow white, regularly edged, opening head on a misty yellow blonde robe. Aroma of white bread, dough, unripe pear, light banana, grass, withering leek, old potatoes. Neutral onset, almost no esters, clean and minerally with lively carbonation, smooth cereally pale maltiness with white-bready edge, quite malt sweet; light grassy hop touch in the end with a retronasal effect of withering leek and only mild, soft bitterishness, lacking a bit of ‘body’ and structure in the finish. Very easygoing quencher but lacking the detailed refinement and cleanliness of a true Kölsch, so I guess we end up with a more generic, cold-lagered golden ale of sorts…

Can shared. Hazy dull golden. Oats, mango, overripe apricot, grassy hops, light blueberries, coconut. Medium sweet and a bit less bitter. Just medium bodied. A bit flat and dull aroma, not as great as the other ORB French brewed beers.

Rated at Haze Wave Festival 2024. Fruity, citrusy and floral hoppy with some tropical notes and grapefruit. Easy going, but quite balanced
