Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

On Tap at Spitfire pizza. Dark deep brown pour, thin fine light briwn head. Moderate coconut aroams and lots of nice toasted malts. Coconut comes through a bit more in the flavors, but blends well and turns out, nicely balanced. Good medium weight porter. Tasty

Hay deep golden with a small fine white head. Nice mild pine and cirus pith blend of smooth hop aromas and flavors. Rather malty and full boded. Satisfying and nicely balanced maltiness with just enough lingering hop bite.

355ml can from Trader Joes, U-District, Seattle during our traditional first-day-of-holiday jetlagged supermarket beer evening. Pours a deep majogany, thin off white bubbles atop. Strong coconut nose, cocoa grain. Taste has similarly prominent coconut, dusty cocoa emerging, moderate bitterness.. pretty good

Tap at Devil Craft. Cola, or maybe Dr pepper. Malty sweetness, blackberries. Interesting. Nice doesn't feel like a scottish ale. When warms up, bit more maltiness, and what you'd expect. Fudge and toffee. --- Beer merged from original tick of Second Sight Strong Scotch Ale on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. 2016 vintage from a bottle. Aroma is subtle bourbon, dark fruit, scotch. Mellow malty scotch, dry apple, caramel, and layered bourbon in the finish. The cellar time mellowed the booze. Medium body, low carbonation. I nearly solo domed the entire bottle. Now I am lit.

12 oz can from a six pack from Albertson's. Aroma is blueberry, floral. Pours clear copper with some sediment an a thick long-lasting cream-colored head. Taste has suggestions of sweetness, tartness and a lightly dry bitter finish. Has a nice blueberry and bready flavor, almost like a blueberry muffin. Unique and pretty good.
