Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

On tap on the ferry from Kingston to Edmonds, WA. Hazy deep golden pour with off white foam. Citrusy hops, grainy, malty, caramelly aroma and taste. Not bad, but a little too malty for my tastes. 7,4,6,5,14

Taste sof rich coconut, chocolate, earth, vanilla, cola, oats. Body is soda like. Not too sweet which I appreciate.

Bottle at share. Murky amber pour. Aroma is sweet and tart. Taste is a punch in the throat. Super puckering. Fruity and sour.

Bomber. Aroma is clove, pepper, old books, wood, earth, overripe bananas. Pours hazy orange with a thick off-white head with good retention that settles into a blanket of foam after a minute. Taste is sweet, savory, very oaky, finishing with some above average bitterness for style.

Not quite as good as I thought it was going to be. Aromas are traditional Scotch ale. Flavors are dominated by Sweet with some of those Scotch qualities coming through but the sweet overwhelms.

Took me 40 minutes to open this and almost cut off my arm, sorta kidding, great carbonation and crisp dry finish. Slightly tart aftertaste.
