Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

473mL can. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Smokey bourbon barrels, brown bread, and dry caramel on the nose. Flavour has plenty of smokey bourbon barrels, a touch burnt caramel, brown sugar, some bready malts. Very nice.

Dull pale gold, slightly sticky malt, some bitterness, a bit piney, orangey. Maybe some nz hop notes but this feels more wc to me.

Pale tan, good head. Good balance, a bit of biscuity malt, moderate bitterness , and a fruity hop expression.

Slightly dull, no head. Some pine, but lowish bitterness and weak malts…feels like session IPA…too bad the base can’t really support the hop because it’s got that resinous pine goodness.

Gold, slight haze, no head. Okay, some weird limey sort of hop…must be the Bravo. But it just really comes across strange for me, and not at all favourable. Like allium, sweet malt, kind of a mess.

Draft at Saddle Rock. Clear golden pour, small, thin white foamy head. Nice hoppy aroma, recalls a cold IPA. Taste is grainy, but the hops take center stage, including some dank notes. Not quite a pils, closer to an IPL.

Aroma has notes of cantaloupe, grapefruit, pine. Taste is highly bitter backed by mild candy sweetness and hardcore piney flavor and a little citrus.

Aroma is pineapple, pine, strawberry. Pours slightly hazy golden with off-white foam. Flavor has a high pithy bitterness and lots of juicy hop character.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose has some dank hops, tanginess, pine, and some raw alcoholic notes. Flavour has bright piney hops, some dankness, a bit of harshness, and a light citrusy finish. Light on the malt, with a somewhat harsh, but also somewhat bright hop expression. Good stuff.

473mL can. Pours slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Pine, grassy citrus, dry dankness, and slightly herbal on the nose. Flavour has citrus peel, herbal hops, dry pine. Not getting much Nelson. Pretty solid.
