clear yellow, smooth white head. aroma of malts, wheat, corn. flavor is malty, herbal bitter hoppy. slightly sourish or citrussy note, some hay and grass. a bit too rustic for my taste.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, malt, straw, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish floral, pine needles, perfume, soda powder, grass, citrus acid, fruit salt, hay. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish floral, soap, pine needles, soda powder, perfume, weeds, hay, grass, citrus peel, minerals. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh soapy mouthfeel. Meh!

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Hazy, golden colour with a thin white head Sweet aroma with spruce, pale malts and grasses. Taste is spicy sweet. Medium body. Finishes dry and spicy with spruce. Too heavy on the wood.

Bottle@yesprs - Orange coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is very herbal and grassy with notes of spruce, pine, some nettles, medium to light body, herbal spruced pine accents into the close.

Bottled at Frankfurt Airport. Clear golden, rich firm head. Distinct tangerine and grapefruit aroma. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity, functional malt, totally overrun by citrusy tropical fruit hops. Long bitter finish. Clearly miscategorized, this is on the hoppy side of IPL.

Weizen-IPAs sind eher eine Seltenheit. Ein IPA, das mit Gersten und Weizenmalz gebraut ist, findet man sicher nur im Fachhandel. Ich finde, das ist auch gut so, dass nur erfahrene Brauer so ein Bier zutrauen und man so eine gewisse Qualitäts-Sicherheit hat. Dieses ist wirklich gut gelungen. Gebraut mit Pale Ale-, Carahell- und Caraamber-Malz (Gerstenmalze) sowie Weizenmalz und gewürzt mit den Hopfensorten Summit, Cascade, Amarillo und Crystal entsteht ein wahrer Regenbogen an Aromen. Fruchtig und hopfig -alles ist vertreten und gut komponiert. Man findet auch "Kamutflocken" auf der Zutatenliste. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein Urgetreide, das man häufig im Müsli findet. Dies erklärt einen (wirklich sehr leichten) Breigeschmack. Nicht nur wegen der hübschen Flasche ein ausgezeichnetes Bier.

0.33 l bottle from a trade with Maracuja05, best before October 2018, thanks Moritz! Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, peppery-yeasty, moderately fruity-grassy and slightly floral aroma of fresh grass, citrus, hay and some grains. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy, moderately floral and slightly fruity taste of hay, grains, some citrus and some yeast, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather dry, slightly yeasty, grassy-spicy and a bit metallic finish. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite refreshing, but somehow a bit rough, just not made very well, too fizzy and yeasty.
