4 oz draft at Schilling Lager Fest. Aroma brings out bready malt, toasted caramel and a touch of dark fruits. Flavor is the same lines, with mild toasted caramel, bready malt. Just a really thin body. Malt is a little flimsy.

Schilling draught, 3/16/24. Clear, dark auburn-amber. Small, dark beige head. Melanoidin, light toast, hints of molasses and honey-like base malt. Good yeast character with a touch of mineral. Clean. Soft, malty, good acidity and clean. Lighter for its size, not thin. Molasses, raisin, honey and crisp yeast. It's not your father's doppelbock but there's still enough malt for me, drying out nicely on the crisp, lightly fruity finish.

On tap at Odd Colony, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright bittering hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with grassy hops, light spiciness, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright, bitter and crisp. Really good.

On tap at Odd Colony, pours a clear pale golden with a tiny white head. Aroma reveals plenty of white wine grape must, gentle rustic notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour reveals a real nice white wine grape must, rustic saison yeast, and dry biscuity malt. Real nice incorporation of the grapes. Excellent.

On tap at Odd Colony, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of white wine grapes, crisp grassiness, and biscuity malt. Flavour is vibrant, with lots of white wine grape skins, crisp spiciness, and biscuity malt. That white grape skin character really elevates this. Really good.

On cask at Odd Colony, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fungal notes, pine needle and bready notes. Flavour is soft, with a bready malt base that supports the pine needles quite well. Not sure the cask helps this but it's reasonably done.

On tap at Odd Colony, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright, spicy, piney hops, with a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is bright, piney and spicy in the hop department, with just enough biscuity malt to back and a crisp, bitter finish. Nicely structured and well-balanced. Very good.

On tap at Odd Colony, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with spicy, grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly dry and crisp, with a decent spicy hop character and crisp crackery malt. For a low ABV Czech pils, this packs a very solid punch. Good stuff.

Can pour from Lighthouse Liquors. Lightly hazy, dark ruby red with trace sparkle, frothy head with good retention and splotchy soapy lacing. Aroma is dry, earthy roasted malt bordering on cardboard, toffee. Taste is strong brown bread. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. To style. Nothing more, nothing less. Serviceable.
