Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. Dark brown color with virtually no head. Very little flavor, just a little malt with a pinch of hops. Unimpressive.

Dark amber. Ok balanced. Medium body. Was a bit boring at the end of the tasting session - should probably have rated in a different order.

A bad head on a weak body. No hoppiness detected - neither a Bohemian nor a classic german pils - more like a dortmunder/helles

Black enough to observe sunspots with. Slight charcoal aroma. Long burned aftertaste, otherwise uneventfull.

This is a great beer. Rich, somewhat spicy, with hints of licorice and toffee, really a great complex dark lager.
