Description
First created on the historic site of the Brasserie des Vosges in Dommartin-lès-Remiremont (former Benedictine monastery), Brasserie La Madelon moved in 2014 into more spacious premises in Saint-Étienne-lès-Remiremont suitable for an expansion of the range of beers.
Today, the brewery produces all kinds of beers, most of them labeled Vosges Terroir.
Annual beer production is around 2,200 hectoliters. It also produces artisanal lemonade and cola with water from the Vosges mountains.

from a local market in Bains-les-Bains. Clear pale golden colour, good half-way lasting frothy white head, good lacing. Aroma sweet malts, artificial, fruit candy. Taste and aftertaste medium sweet, fruity, thin sirup. Light body, watery texture, flat carbonation, something to forget quickly.

from a local market in Bains-les-Bains. Clear medium amber colour, average fairly lasting frothy off-white head, good lacing. Aroma malts, toffee, straw. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, bread, not much depth. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, caramel notes, medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation; okay.

From a bottle purchased in Alsace. Pours a clear amber with an ecru head. Malty nose. Flavors of caramel with some pit fruit notes. Fairly sweet, but decent flavor.

Bottle. Copper color. Aroma of christmas herbs, caramelised malt and ripe fruit. Nice taste of soft herbs, ripe fruit, mild oak, subtle vanilla, caramelised malt and some yeast. Nice noel beer.

Bottled@Björntasting. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is ashes, fruits, grains, grass wood and some mild toasted malts as well. Flavour is fruity, some ashes, mild toasted malts, nutty notes and mild herbal notes.
