On tap at Chez Le Gros. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue and a whit head that lasts through out the beer and laces. Aroma has light sweet grains and some raisin with a bit of clove and light earthy grass underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and bread with a touch of raisin and Belgian yeast supporting.

# 3777; 8/2023. Malty, caramely, fruity aroma. Brilliant amber body; off-white head. Malty, caramel, toasty, alcohol warmth, dried fruits, herbal bitter finish. Very good amber biere de garde. 0,33 l, bottle, supermarket, Toul (Lorraine, France).

0.33l bottle, huge thanks Motelpogo for sharing it with us! Hazy amber body, white head. Heavy, stale malty aroma, dried fruit. Sweet, stale taste, caramel, intensive, strong, overwhelming and flat... Just not pleasant I'm afraid.

33cl bottle from Intermarché Super et Drive, Stenay, France. F: medium, tan, quick gone. C: coppery, clear. A: malty, bit caramel, rain water, bit toast, bready. T: quite malty, caramel, bready, toast, dry on the palate, bit biscuits, bit herbal, taste is bit better than aroma yet still very simple to me but ok for the style may be, medium body and lower carbonation, drinkable.

From a bottle purchased in Alsace. Pours a clear amber with an ecru head. Malty nose. Flavors of caramel with some pit fruit notes. Fairly sweet, but decent flavor.

It was a 50cl bottle Mat! Flip-top and neat looking packaging. The actual beer was OK too. Shared between 5, cheers Luc for bringing this to the December Shrewsbury Bottle Share meeting (8th Dec 2014). Poured a dark amber with a beige head. Caramel and toffee esters filled the nose and the taste carried on in the same way: sweet malty molasses all the way with this beer. My sweet tooth liked it a lot.
