Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at The Gatekeeper (JDW). Filmy, tan-coloured head, spotty lacing, deep rosewood coloured body. Rather rich aromas of earthy, dark malts, hints of nuts, slightly roasted. Dark caramel flavours together with chocolate, earth and moments of dark fruits. Lightly roasted ending. Clean. Well made mild. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A cola brown coloured pour with a lasting dirty beige head. Aroma is subtle brown bread, twiglets, tangy woodland berries, milky, hint of powdered choc. Flavour is composed of red berries, milky choc, woody berries toasted nuts. Palate is semi sweet, easy going, lowish carbonation. Tasty malty beverage.

Cask (handpump) @ Fat Cat, 49 West End Street, Norwich, Norfolk, England NR2 4NA. [ As Pheasantry IPA ].Unclear matt medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, marmalade. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, pale malt, unriped fruit, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150803] 6-3-6-3-13

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A glossy reddish dark chestnut colour with a billowing cream head; fruity malt taste with a touch of chocolate; and a pleasantly toasty finish. A rather good mild.

Tried at Smiths Bourne. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma fresh citrus and pine. Medium bitter sweet taste. Oily body.

Cask at the Caley Picture House. Pours clear brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of light roast, chocolate, faint dried herbs. Taste is light sweet, toffee, more roast. Dry finish.

Cask at the Bell - Walthamstow. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds lightly toasted grains, bread, simple malts, or age peel. Light sweet flavour with more grainy malts, faint caramel, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. A little astringent in the finish, with notes of tea, more leaves, aged citrus peel, grains. Very so so.
