Big thanks to bu11zeye, thanks Marcus. Coming out of the bottle I thought this was golden but its actually an amber color. An a large head that quickly fades. The first few pours make a very clear beer and a weak head. But as the yeasty part comes then the color becomes dense and the head has a bit more legs. Eventually, one cannot see through it. For the aroma, the beer needs a bit of time to breath, otherwise its empty and metallic at first. With some time it becomes faintly vinegar, lightly herbal and touches of yeasty dough. Its a very calm aroma not strong, really have to search for the separate parts. Taste is similar with a very non-in-your-face approach. Yeasty part brings a thicker light cookie dough but otherwise its just a sessionable, white bread and light sour berry flavor. Seems like a quaint Belgian ale that had just a bit of oud bruin blended in. Very enjoyable, very easy to drink and thirst quenching. Just has a lightly spritz-y feel with a light body. That light sourness lingers enough to tickle the tongue a bit in the effervescent aftertaste goes very well with the cranberry in sugar candies I am eating with it. .
11.2 oz bottle, stamped 01-09 on the cap, Rodenbach GC smaller tulip glass, thanks again Marcus..

Bottle. OK fat cherry aroma, slightly farty. Pale red colour, lots of small floaties. Very small head. The flavour is tart, turning citric with a faint hint of cherry. Has a lambicky tartness at the very beginning. Rough bitterness. Finishes on a strange plastic note at the back of the mouth. After a few sips, the unpleasant notes seem to disappear, leaving a nicely sour beer. 5 3 6 3 13

Bottled (BB 04/2009)
Hazy amber color, small creamy off-white head. Cereal malty, a bit grainy and alcoholic with hints of nutty licorice. Anis licorice flavor with typical Belgian yeasty notes. Fizzy, alcohol in the finish. A bit too thin palate to be really good.
