Kind of a sweet potato casserole thing going on here. Finishes very sweet from the marshmallow.

Lots of habanero on the nose, the flavor is a great balance of sweet pineapple and fresh habanero with none of the heat. Again quite a thick mouthfeel.

Strong lychee aroma and flavor, almost tastes too sweet (In a great way). Thick mouthfeel, did not expect that from a session mead. Fantastic.

Almost overpowering vanilla aroma, tastes a little drier. Definitely a little champagne-y as the menu suggests.

Pretty gnarly color, nose, and flavor. Nose of savory sweet potato ish which I guess is ube with hints of honey and pineapple. Flavor is incredibly balanced savory and sweet notes. Pretty addicting sipper as you try to sort out the unique flavors

$9 Single from Appalachian. Pint glass two weeks later at home. Hazy, orange gold, somewhat still pour. Stewed veg, cooked down pineapple nose. Slight hint at wax. Peppery, bright-n-fruity condensed pineapple & in your face habanero, veggie & honey sweet finish. Lingering heat. Little to no carbonation, syrupy, lovely heat, hidden acid, no tartness. Maybe too sweat but a great pepper mead.

Single can from Appalachian. Pint glass at home. Fumy, candle level nose. Super strong sweet potato, cooked down pineapple & toasty confectionery. Inky black & smokey blueberry soda sizzle, stains my fingertips. Sweet & tart pineapple juice upfront that quickly gets swallowed up by sweet potato casserole. Ube is very floral & obvious. Tiny bit of veggie bitterness, mellow vanilla & more cooked pineapple on the tail. Good but overkill flavors. Crispy, falling flat carbonation. Dense, tacky, a bit starchy. Naturally sweet & condensed down to unnecessary extremes. Fun in very small doses.

Mooch tasting, courtesy of the gang
Dark burgundy colour. In the aroma, some of those componds often generate by high octane mead fermentation, then cherries, and a hint of cinnamon. The flavour is absolutely rich, the mouthfeel is dense, it's very sweet; the cherries add some needed, sharp acidity; layers of cinnamon and pastry. Excellent.

LCI, it's actually spicy! Love it when producers aren't afraid to leave some spice in. It's delicious too. Like biting into a fresh pineapple dipped in honey with some habanero jelly.

Long bottle. Pours very dark brown. Aroma has a lot of sweet cherries and honey; very much like a cherry pie. Flavour has a lot of semi-sweet red cherries and some floral notes. Very enjoyable.
