On tap at Chuck’s Greenwood, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is loaded with vibrant white wine-like hops, gooseberry, big citrusy hop tang, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Flavour is a Nelson bomb, with intense gooseberry, big bitter piney hops, and a touch of green melon. Wonderful Nelson expression. Excellent.

Dark brown, not much head head, the rye barrel comes through on the nose. Soft body, cut with big barrel, rye, med bitterness, some nuttiness, and a hint of dark chocolate. Solid.

On tap at Chuck’s CD, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is fairly neutral, with bittering hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly bitter, with lightly piney, bittering hops and a dry biscuity malt base. Not much hop flavour expression, just bitterness. Reasonably balanced but just not that interesting.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is dominated by the rye and bourbon barrels, some molasses, and medium roast. Flavour has a ton of barrel, with huge, spicy rye barrel, followed by massive bourbon, medium roast, and spicy, earthy malt. Lots of spicy rye on the finish. Not the most complex malt profile but great barrel character. Excellent.

Pale gold, thin head, has some funny smoke phenols, hm, not the direction I was expecting.
