Bottle. Clear dark brown/red decent white/beige head. Aroma of malts, cherries and metal. Taste of malts, cherries, a little bit of caramel and more metal. Slightly sour. Low bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Watery, thin, metallic and overall artificial: This is almost cartoonishly poor. Well yea, I‘m aware it’s a Paderborner but their latest offerings weren’t quite half-bad.

0.5 l can from 'Getränke Hoffmann' (Recklinghausen), best before August 2024. Clear, golden with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of grains and some straw. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter taste of grains, some straw and light iron, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Boring lager.

0.5 l bottle from 'Trinkgut Knödgen', best before January 2024. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter and a little roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, burnt bread crust and light raisins, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Dunkel.

Amber, slightly haty brew with a decent white head. Aroams of bread/malt, some herbs. Taste of bread/malt, some caramel, apple - overall not bad, flavours could be a bit bolder.

Fles in Duitsland gekocht thuis geprobeerd. Hey is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige en hoppige geur. De smaak is vol moutig, metaalachtig, bitter en hoppig.
