1 l growler filled today at the brew pub. Cloudy golden in the glass, more than one finger white foamy head. Yeast and wheat on the nose, some banana and clove. Taste is mediocre, wheat, yeast, some banana and clove again. Not bad but also not spectacular.

1 l growler purchased at the brewhouse today. Cloudy dark amber with a small pale beige head in the glass. Malty aroma, some fruity elements in the background. Taste starts malty, fruity parts in the background, increasing dry grainy, some bitterhop. Below average carbonation. Malty with some grainy bitterness in the aftertaste. Okay.

1 l growler, purchased today at the source. 3,50 €. Cloudy yellow golden in the glass, more than one finger white foamy head. Grainy grassy aroma, some citrus in the background. Taste starts with a smooth hop bitterness, pale grainy, some caramel. Citrus elements in the background. Easydrinker with a pleasant long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste.

1 l growler, refill 3,50 €, purchased yesterday at the brewpub, drunk today at home. Black in the glass with a two finger steady beige head. Looks good. Smooth roasted malt aroma with some choco. Taste starts also roasted malty, some choco and lactose, short fruity shot. Little bit bready, increasing bitterhop in the second row. Very low carbonation. Nice one!

Cooperation between Hopfenfänger, Union Brauerei Bremen and Schüttinger, same recipe but brewed each at their own kettles. Horizontal testing in identical glass ware. Version purchased at the brew pub in an 1 l growler. Murky dark amber in the glass, one finger light tanned head. Darkest of all three. Malty aroma with a lot of caramel. Taste is malty smooth grain and caramel. Some wood. Not very complex. Dry malty bitterness in the aftertaste. Below average carbonated. Hidden alcohol.
