16oz can. Bronzed tan-orange body. Slow rising carbonation bubbles, steady thin head. Quality malt and lager tone, bready. Straightforward but sublime, easy drinking. Good.

16oz can. A true APA, a rarity somehow these days. Not quite perfect stuff, but a pretty solid brewpub beer for sure. Balance, restrained, perhaps a little mild on the hops. Enjoyable.

Tap at Skeleton Key. Smoke is very mild but there. Mild apricot, blackberry tone. Well attenuated, not that sweet or sticky for the style. OK.

Tap at SKB's Little Key tap room. Deep brown with thin bit of foam. 7% Smell of a light porter. I can't really smell much right now, it seems. Taste is a rich malt, tending towards a caramel roast, with some residual sweetness. I'm picking up some fruitiness, perhaps from the hops. The server said they did their usual hop combination of Simcoe, Chinook, etc. A bit filling, as the style should be, but not overly so. Again, a kind of nut brown ale impression, more than any darker style. Sweet, slightly Woody. Nice lace on the sides of a plastic cup.

16 oz. can from Orange & Brew. Pours a deep brown, kicking up a big foamy head that leaves some lace and a rim of bubbles. The smell is malty, but with very little roast. The earthy English hop is present in the nose as well. Taste is just as malty as the nose. Notes of diluted molasses. The beer is immediately filling. A slight suggestion of smoked malt. Very little hop bitterness; just a balance against malt sweetness. A nice break for anyone needing a break from bitter or hazy IPAs.

16 oz can. Improperly poured into a full pint glass, but I'm all out of tumblers. A big head, but ultimately frothy and short-lived, over a slightly hazy yellow beer body, with lots of bubbles on the sides. Merely a light tartness in the nose. Not too much else to go by with the aroma for now. A rather zesty tart taste, perfect for people new to the style. No fruit, and surely not enough hops to make much of a difference against this sour drink.

Draft at Orange & Brew. A fine ale. A little mild in the malt department but with a hoppy base. Red-amber color in glass, with a brown eggshell head. Equal notes of toasty malts and good old bitter hops. Taste keeps up the balance. If the alcohol is slightly high octane, it plays no part in the taster glass I had.
