Description

Bottle at Delirium. Nice change after lots of drinking. Dark gold/amber color with a strong white head. Strong malt and anise/honey aromas. Anise in the finish. Not quite dry. Intriguing. Must be one of the best bieres de table. Think my response indicates that the more beers you have, the more enjoyable more beers seem to be!

Bottled. Clear golden, no head. Vague aroma of grapes. Sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Light bodied with plenty of dextrose and some metal. Finishes with a sweet burning sensation from the dextrose.

Bottled. Clear golden, no head. Plum aroma. Saccharine sweet with clean hard mouthfeel. Some interesting fruiy flavour, and definite thirst quenching qualities, but the saccharine sweetness gets too much.

Bottled (as Gigi La 1900 Spéciale). Clear pale amber, less head than on a glass of Coca Cola. Aroma of butterscotch and honey. Sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. Interesting dicrete notes of tobacco, peach and roasty malt. No bitterness. Very unual with it’s complete lack of head and hard mouthfeel, but only halfway succesful.

[Bottled] Clear brownish dark amber. Some soap and saccharine. Too sweet with clean mouthfeel and notes of plums. Chemical bitter finish. Not my drink of choice, but better than their blonde...

[Bottled] Clear deep golden, Soap aroma. Expectedly thin body. Some raisin, but most of all sh*tloads of saccharine creating a chemical bitter finish. I much prefer Coke instead, thank you.

Bottled
Golden, small head. Strong aroma of soap and herbs. Sweetish, sugary, plastic with grassy hops. Not the worst table beer I’ve had but not very enjoyable.

Light amber with greenish shine, very pearling to fluffy off-white collar. Spicey nose, especially parsley, touch yeasty. Sweet taste, a bit artificial too. Spiciness is still there in the background, but gets killed by this unpleasant sweetness. Aspartame-based "Traubenzucker", if such thing would be feasible. Light MF, OK, but a slickness again reminding me of artificial sweetener. By far my least preferential from the Gigi light brigade. Sad about the demise of the Unicbier, which was all the better.
