0.5 l can from a local Coop store in Bratislava, shared with Ogi and Marko over breakfast. Clear golden, small to medium white head. Aroma is grainy and grassy, sweet grainy flavour, green hoppy grassy flavour. Some pleasant herbal touches. Moderately bitter finish. Carbonation slightly low.

Can via Tesco. Deep golden to bronze colour. Quickly disappearing head. Medium body, med-high carbonation. Med-high bitterness, low sweetness, med-light unpleasant astringency. Med-light grassy hops character, faintly fruity. A hint of caramelly matiness, but overall the beer is dominated by the raw grainy astringency. Could be nice if Heineken did not insist on milking every single sugar molecule out of their malts.

Canned, 4.7% (12°), 12 EBC, 32 EBU. Chill hazed full golden body, off-white head. Odd aroma mixing floral hops with something fruity, wine-like almost, mildly herbal-minerally. Lean, dry, minerally taste, herbal hoppy touches. I mean... okay, not too sweet, dried out, some middling hoppiness. Yet another macro lager, but far from the worst one.

Can from Lidl Bucharova, Zlatý Bažant Prémiový Ležák. Brewed somewhere by Heineken CZ. I mean, this has had so many iterations and recipe changes it's crazy. Anywho. Clear deeper golden body. Fruity aroma, plums mainly, I guess some questionably yeast product or maaaybe weird malt choice, bit peachy. Lean, dry, smooth taste, fruity undertone, vague caramel, very low bitterness to none, bit minerally though. I mean, tastes like a cheaper Krušovice beer - will try it again in Slovakia when I visit this year. Actually, it can pass as a Helles almost in this incarnation, like this.
