The Amber Brewery is one of the most modern small and medium brewery companies in Poland. Located in the midst of morainal hills surrounding Gdansk, the Brewery proudly continues excellent brewery traditions present in this region for centuries.
Every brand is for us individual and unique. That is why each of them is promoted in a different way, taking into account customs connected with the consumption of individual beer kinds and the judgments of consumers.

Bottle at Pigs Ear. Clear dark brown - amber beer. Little pale tan head. Light crispy palate. Light touch of dark malts. Little lactose and a trace of nuts. Mild minerals and citrus. Semi dry finish. Easy drinking beer - could easily imagine drinking this with a stew in Krakov - oh wait I already did that 6 years ago!

Bottle. Poured dark red with thick off white head. Sweet caramelly malty aroma with an unfortunate sourness in it. Full flavour caramel, nuts and a raisiny bit. . Sweet finish, more caramel with a little bitter note.

500 ml bottle. Golden body with a big, lasting, creamy off-white head. Plain but pleasant aroma of malt, grain and some caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, bread, fruit, bitter and actually a hint of alcohol. Medium body. Nothing really extraordinary here, stills a decent and quaffable lager.

Dark brown. Decent head. Chewy aroma with molasses and other dark sugars. Very sweet, with some sugary notes, light raisin accent. Soft, interesting beer with good character.

Demi-litre bottle. Poured dark brown with thick beige head. Much lacing. Medium chocolate and roast aroma. Roast malt flavour with some more bittersweet chocolate notes. Malty finish, with caramelly notes.

500ml from Bestillingsutvalget, Vinmonopolet. Lots of small dimples to a frothy and fawn coloured head, displaying a solid stand. Deeply, near-black in the glass with a brownish shade if held to the light. Aroma of dark malts, containing coffee and anise. Fine blended flavour of dark chocolate and earthy malts with an integrated backdrop of dark fruits. Subdued sweetness and alcohol. Gets a bit grainy after an hour in the glass, otherwise well rounded to the palate and pleasant to drink (Tromsø, 10.04.2010).

Flaske 0,5 l fra bestillingsutvalget til Vinmonopolet. Dyp dyp rødbrun. Nesten svart. Et lavt lysebrunt skum. Innbydende sjokoladepreget aroma. Smaken er svakt søtlig med innslag av sjokolade. Kaffesmaken dominerer etterhvert sammen med en anelse bitterhet. Velbalansert. KI=6
