Bottle pour at WBF 2025, pours a clear red, no head. Aroma is full of coffee, succulent cherries, honey nectar, and light vanilla. Flavour has plenty of tart cherries, moderate coffee presence, some honey nectar, and light vanilla. Much more tart than usual for a mead but has the honey depth to back. Good stuff.

Bottle pour at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours clear amber. A huge punch of islay smoke on the nose. Flavour is very rich with loads of sweet honey and incredible smoky depth from the islay barrels. This is absurdly good.

Bottle pour at Beer & Bones, pours a dark mahogany. Aroma has pretty muted currant presence, only subtle honey that I guess has been fermented out big time. Flavour is bizarre—something is definitely off here (it can’t just be oxidation). There’s muted currant, stale honey, ugh… not pleasant at all.
