330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of candi sugar, Belgian yeast, a little leather, and molasses. Flavour is dry and burnt, with molasses, plenty of candi sugar, a decent expression of Belgian yeast, and burnt caramel. Lower residual sugar than it most seem, which means the balance it solid. Not the most complex Belgian strong, but it seems better than the average here. Good.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with little head. Aromas of wet malts and citrus. Flavors follow same with damp cardboard and ginger. Not a good Belgian representative to import.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Dark brown with a tan head. Dark caramel aroma with some dried fruits like plums and raisins. Sweet taste with a sweet finish.

Barwa miedziana, niemal klarowne, piana w kolorze złamanej bieli, średnio obfita, średnio trwała. W aromacie słodowe, lekko fenolowe, owocowe. W smaku słodowe, lekko chyba utlenione, nieco winno-owocowe nuty, rodzynki. Goryczka niska do średniej, wysycenie średnie, ciało w normie. Brakuje tej belgijskiej głębi in bogactwa smaków.

Fles gedeelt door Inoven, geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een helder diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een wat toffee achtige geur. De smaak is gebrande mout en chocolade met een hint van zwarte kers. Het heeft een zacht zoete en licht bittere afdronk.

Flesje gedeeld met Tomhendriksen. Donkerbruin helder bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Weinig aroma, beetje karamel. Smaak is zoet en fruitig van pruimen en zwarte kersen. Nasmaak is iets bitter.
