Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours opaque black with a sturdy pale brown head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, rich chocolate, nutty, cacao, praline, cookie dough gateaux, dessicated coconut, dale chocolate bounty bar and freshly baked brownies. The taste is dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet character, touch of tannin, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, gateaux, touch of alcohol warmth, nutty, praline, slightly charred notes, chocolate bourbons, toasted coconut and dark chocolate bounty. Finish is rather drying with dark roast notes. Medium+ body and moderate, velvety carbonation. Works quite well at this abv. Some dryness/bitterness to it which keeps the sweetness in check.

Tap at BrewDog Tower Hill 29/11/2024 (At last a Waterloo brewed beer ✅ - and having to get it at Tower Hill) :) dark sweet roasted malty with lots of chocolate, cocoa, light vanilla and nuts, singed brown sugar, full bodied, smooth mouthfeel, dark lingering malty finish. Good stuff.

Taste comprises hay bale, touch of glazed cherry, tangy berry fruits, pink berry sherbets, lactic tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow puckering rip. Okay easy sour.

Keg at BrewDoge Waterloo, 13/12/24. Murky orange topped with a creamy white head. Nose is mixed tropicana, melon, peach, mandarin, floral notes. Taste comprises pineapple, peach flesh, orange zest, soft malts, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness. Not bad ... the peach doesn't take over too much but is certainly present.

Keg at BrewDoge Tower Hill, 29/11/24. Black with a khaki head that thins to the edge. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, nutty, mellow roast, dried fruit esters. Taste comprises roast malts, hazelnut, brown sugar malt, charr, cocoa powder, Cadburys Whole Nut. Medium bodied , fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay stout but lacking depth for an 8% affair.

Keg at BD Tower Hill. Aroma is boozy and chocolate- chocolate liqour. Dark and glossy. Thin tan head. Flava matches the aroma with added dark chocolate and coffee bitterness. Thick. Oily. Soft carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. OK muted Impy.
