Taster at Brewdog Waterloo. A pale greenish yellow coloured pour with no head. Aroma is sour vinegar, acetic, nail polish remover, cucumber. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, lime, cucumber, pickle, vinegar tickle. Salt lick,. Palate is semi sweet, tangy, salty, sour, mellow carbonation. Meh. Pretty shit. No idea why you would even attempt to make this. A taster was too much.

Keg at Brewdog Waterloo. A opaque jet black brown coloured pour with a dwcent light tan head. Aroma is earthy roasted barley, dry roast, robust, some jammy apple notes, liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, jammy, raspberry ripple shortcake bun, chocolate, oily, mellow roast, marshmallow. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, mellow carbonation. Maybe a little adjunct for a porter. Ok.

Keg at Dogtap, Ellon. It pours clear oily yellow with a small white head. The aroma is fragrant, rather spicy, warming, chili, cracked black pepper, spice cupboard vibes and rather savoury overall. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, decent touch of bitterness, really fragrant, warming spice, peppery, chilli, candied lemon, minerality, grass and toasty grains with a drying, spicy finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Not unpleasant, just unusual. Shilling a third was fun, not sure I would opt for a bigger size though. Novel.

Keg at Brewdoge Waterloo, 17/06/2026.
Pale golden with a thin white head.
Nose is pickle juice, herb, straw, lemon nip.
Taste comprises herb, gherkins, straw, grains, light acidic tickle.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow puckering edge.
Does what it says on the tin but like most beers of this ilk I couldn't drink much.

Keg at the source. Dark. Slightly opaque brown tinge. Creamy beige head. Aroma has dark chocolate and burnt nuts. I like. Flavourwise it's Creamy with a tangy edge. Then develops mocha (but more coffee than cacao). Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish
Noice.

Kwg at the source. A clear copper gold. Thinnest foamy translucent white head. Aroma is floral and perfumed. A light bitterness and underlying malts. Flavourwise it's got a sourness throughout. Light bitterness. Underlying caramel sweetness. As I drink more grains and malts float to the top. Yeah.... I get the English IPA reference as it does have twiggy bitter brewery straits. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation with a lazy fizz. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Low key stuff. Pleasent at best. We're BD bought out by Marstons?
