Keg at Brewdog Doghouse, Edinburgh. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste brings the chilli heat, but it's nicely done, not over-powering. Spicy and roasty linger.

Hazed amber with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is caramel, dried fruit rinds, biscuit malts.
Taste comprises caramel, citric tinged straw, candied orange peel, hint of bubblegum.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with mellow earthy hop bitterness.
Fine for the style.

Crowler from Dogtap Ellon. It pours deep reddish - amber with a rugged off - white head. The aroma is hearty makes, dried fruits, red berry, crunchy cherry, sappy, resinous, pink grapefruit, blood orange and toffee. The taste is firmly dry, pleasing bitterness, sappy, resinous, quite robust, bitter - sweet character, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, blood orange, damp pine, pine needles and brown bread
with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Quite a hearty amber ale. Decent.

Half-pint, shared with Finn. Deep black body, shiny black surface, dotted spots on the glassware. Smoothly roasted aromas with moments of hazelnut. Rich taste character with earthy chocolate, cocoa, and hazelnut. Very smooth finish, lightly roasted. Long-lived and not overly sweet. Sipper qualities (London, 11.02.2025).
