MCR July Specials Beer#2. My only Manchester drinking day this month so a sweep of the one-offs. Hazy golden-orange appearance with a good fruity pale ale base and subtle additions of jasmine to create a subtle floralness in both aroma and taste. The name suggests a heavy floral influence, but not quite like it sounds in this instance

MCR July Specials Beer#1. My only Manchester drinking day this month so a sweep of the one-offs. Hazy yellow-gold in colour with a decent body but very drinkable being juicy and tropical fruity, sweetish too. There's a 4.8% version around too, although this higher percentage doesn't quite feel it beyond its body.

My local CAMRA group gave me a badge at the last festival they held, but I've never worn it. This badge has a lot more depth than its percentage suggests, it's very sessionable for it. Light citrus is available in both aroma and taste, transfering as dryish grapefruit, without much of a citric bitterness about it.

A taster for what could be considered a prototype for future brews. Pinkish-red coloured brew. It's hoppy and quite a sweet red-ale with sugars.

Not my first outdoor drink of the year, but in the warmest weather so far, so this crisp cold pour stout feels good going down the palate. Mild roasted notes offer up a hint of sweetness.

I was told the two brewers are good mates and that it was Silent that came to Lark Hill in Salford to brew this one. They've come up with an excellent fruity, extremely hazy beer, blurring the lines between tropical and exotic. Lots of body, but remaining crisp.

When I first came across this brewery I thought they were from Liverpool, but I was confusing the hip area around Lark Lane in that city, with this in Salford. No confusing this as a crisp pale ale. On the sweeter side of the spectrum for this one.

A trip to Germany later this year is in a planning stage. Golden coloured German style brew here, which is pretty close in taste to those I've experienced in Deutschland, but without the same depth.

Definitely this beer name could also be the name of a topic on 'Just A Minute'. Bright golden coloured, west coast styled brew, which is dry tasting, subduing fruits and sugars within this one. It's very crisp though, with an almost oily texture.
