330ml bottle, 5.95 % abv, Lote 067/2022, bought at Casa de Mateus in Vila Real. Shared with Finn. Pours a dense, large off-white head with fine lacing, hazy golden body. Grassy hops and ripe fruity aromas,. Mixed taste of apricot, grass, and yeasty fruitiness. Smooth mid-sweet fruity finish. Just alright. (Tromsø, 04.11.2023).

5,95%. 2022 version. Spandert av Rune. Delt i WCveien. Mørk stråfarget. Uklar. Middels høyt luftig skum. Lett maltaroma. Hint av frukt. Smaken lett fruktig. Litt søt. Forsiktig tørr bitter avslutning.

330ml bottle, Lote 040/2021, bought at Casa de Mateus in Vila Real. Slowly diminishing beige head leaving scattered lacing on the glass, hazy dark brown body. Promising dark malty aromas alongside a scent of dried fruits. Spiced malt-fruity flavours, impacts of prunes, cinnamon and caramel, with a yeasty strain to it. Lingering mid-sweet malt-fruity finish. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasing. (Douro River, Cabin at MS Amalia Rodrigues, 07.09.2023).

330ml bottle, bought at the bar, at Casa de Mateus in Vila Real. Hazy brownish body under a declining beige head, fragile lacing. Quite inviting aromas of brownish malts, hints of toffee. Mixed taste of caramel malts and dried fruits , including a hint of figs. Mid-sweet caramel notes to the ending. Pretty alright. (Douro River, Cabin at MS Amalia Rodrigues, 07.09.2023).

330ml bottle, Lote 053/2022, bought at Casa de Mateus in Vila Real. Pours a noisy, fast declining beige head, scattered lacing, near black in the glass. Moderately roasted black malty aromas. Malt-driven taste with dark chocolate and moments of liquorice. Roasted malty end, rather short. Quite okay, but unvaried. (Douro River, cabin at MS Amalia Rodrigues, 06.09.2023).

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 25A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 002/2017 (05/2018). AROMA: medium sweetness with an underattenuated, syrupy character. cereal husk, faint mettalic and medicinal. background of slight stale malt. medium-low hot alcohol presence. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. medium-low white head with medium retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium-low sweet malt character with a syrupy presence. slight hop oxidation (cheesy) and solvent-like alcohol. medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low carbonation. medium body with an underattenuated character. slight tanninc astringency. OVERALL: a blonde ale with formulation and execution issues.
