Bottle kindly shared by Yngwie/Gunnfryd. Chrystal clear red like some kind of cherry soda pop and no head. A bit oily body. Strong aroma of honey, some honey and lots of honey – did I mention honey? Taste is…… yes honey. Uber sweet honey with a hint of some kind of red, slightly acidic berries, could well be cherry. No citric fruit in my throat. Quite hot, lots of alcohol but not boozy just rather warming. Not the kind of mead I prefer.

Bottle. It's a crystal clear candy red mead with a lightly oily pour. Honey driven aroma with a perfumed, flowery touch and red berries. Can't really say I found any clementine, but there's plenty of alcohol. Some generic spicyness too. It's warming on the palate, sweet and full-bodied, oily and still. The flavor has cherry, generic red berries and flowers, and a faint note of something reminiscent of orange zest, but as in the aroma, the clementine is well hidden. Lots of honey too of course. Long warming and sweet finish. Too much honey focus here, but at least the cherries add some depth. A bit too warming as well I think. Anyway, although very sweet and warming, a small glass is fine. 230924
