US Pint can, from a Japanese store in Orange County, California; thinking it a new Japanese tick! Should read the labels better and maybe not believe the advertising. Anyway this was an interesting brew, poured into a US Pint glass (straight sleeve) on 27th March 2026 at my daughters in Laguna Hills, shared with no one. Dark bodied, beige wispy roof and a malty front. Had to google what Matcha was, didn't really feel the tea aspect in the nose or flavour, did taste a little 'weird' though.

Couldn’t resist new brewery tick post sake flight. Also charging phone so wasting some time. Milky yellow orange and sudsy head. Cloudy body. Nose is peach but not syrupy and some pine. Tatsss of fine palate ale grassy and pine and herbal with peach designating bit in cloying way. Sweet finish. Pleasant light bodied.

Pours a very dark body and a small beige head with good retention. Aroma's: the matcha is noticable when opening the can, once in the glass red and/or blackberries are taking over, with matcha subdued. Actually reminiscent of cassis. Retronasal there's berries some roast, light sweet, light matcha. Flavor is light sweet, roasty, light fruity sourish. After warming up a bit the berries move to the background, making way for more sweetness. Medium bodied. Firm carbonation. Finishes slightly dry, roasty, light moderate bitter.

Bomber from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours slightly translucent gold with a smallish white head. Light floral/herb aroma. Not quite med body, but the carbonation is a bit spritzy. It's quite dry and nicely bitter. There's enough malt to support the bitterness, but I think rice is part of the flavor. Nice drink.

Can from Monument Wines in Concord, CA. Pours clear gold with a large foamy white head that quickly went down. The aroma may have a touch of lychee, but it's mostly all raspberry in a rather delicate way. Near med body. It's dry, arguably astringent, and seem to be pretty much raspberry. Tart/sour. Quite approachable.

16oz can from my son. Expecting some banana or cloves but only citrusy yuzu in the aroma. Lightly hazy yellow with a big, heavy lacing white head. Flavor is lightly sweet and just a hint of caramel and a hint of bitterness in the finish.
