Draft at Festival Vatgerijpt Gist. Color: Hazy amber, off . white head. Aroma: Funky, hints of fruit. Taste: Funky, wood, fruity red grape, red wine. A bit vinegar-like sharpness. Ok overall.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is strong liquorice, dark malt, moderate roast, and subtle barrel notes with a touch of wood, booze and very mild whisky. Flavour is medium sweet with some bitterness. Body is above medium. Well, this is an okay Imperial Stout, but it's a bit too subtle on the barrels and too hefty on the liquorice for me. I'm not excited.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet dark malt, oak, smooth Bourbon, caramel, chocolate, and some booze. Flavour is sweet with some bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. Pleasant and smooth barrel aging, I like this one much better than their BA Oatmeal Stout.

From tap at 8e Pint Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival. Malty and hoppy aroma with soft tropical fruits, grapefruit, and bready malts. Flavour is mild sweet with a firm bitterness. Body is medium. Maltier than I expected, I like the flavour better than the aroma.

Bottle bought at 8e Utrechtse Brouwersfestival. Sweet malty and resin aroma with ripe fruits, orange marmalade, caramel, and pine resin. Sweet sugary flavour with a medium bitterness. Body is above medium with a slight sticky feel. Sweet and resinous with ripe orange, nice beer but below average IIPA for me.

From tap at Café DeRat, Utrecht. Fruity aroma with citrus, lemon, grassy hops, lots of bready wheat, dough, and a surprising touch of funk. Tart and pleasantly sour flavour with a little hoppy bitterness in the finish. Light body. A fine dry-hopped Berliner, nicely fruity and grassy.

From tap at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Aroma is nicely fruity with vanilla, rum, plenty of wood, spicy notes, sugary fruits, fruit peel, some citrus, light herbal. Modest bittersweet flavour, body is medium. Pretty tasty, rum works well with the saison, fairly woody, fruity and spicy/herbal. Quite solid.

From tap at Proeflokaal MOUT, Groningen. Grainy and grassy aroma with soft noble hop and yeast. Sweeter than I expected with low bitterness. Notes of straw, wort and fruity hints. Body is medium. Curious wort-ish Pils, I love me a pure unfiltered Pils, but this is a bit raw rather than pure.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is pale malt with yeasty and fruity notes, some citrus, a herbal touch, and some hoppy hints. Moderate sweet and bitter flavour, medium bitter flavour. Not much of an enigma, a bit dull actually. Doesn't hold a candle to the 'original' Blonde Enigma from Ruig.
