16oz can from Pints n Wine. Amber pour with off-white foamy head. Malty aroma, dark bread, rye funk. Taste is more deep malty flavors, rye, light hop profile.

On tap at Here Today, pours black with a large brown head. Aroma brings out medium roast and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is quite dry, with medium roasted, cocoa, and some earthiness. Not the most complex, actually pretty light on the palate. It's decent but quite underwhelming for an imperial.

On tap at Here Today, pours a clear bright orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued chamomile, subdued berries and a hint of salt. Flavour is dry, with salt, chamomile, and fermented out berries. Interesting how you can jam so many adjuncts in here and get so little of their flavour. I like the dryness, but I'd wish the adjuncts could be expressed a little more. Pleasant but a bit underwhelming.

Enjoyed on tap at Chuck's 85th. Clean copper pour, shiny penny, thin foam. Aroma has some bran, caramel, and a touch of metallic. Has a caramel, bready malt front, with a slight bitter bite. Cool finish. Lingering bran cereal palate. Fun, easy drinking brew.

32 oz crowler from the brewery, shared by Tcon. Thanks! Poured on 1/2 and rating from backlog. This is a style that I really wish would show up around here more often, and they nailed exactly what I look for within the style. Somewhat cloudy and bright golden pour. Rocky head. Crisp front with an obvious smoked character upon first sip. Cool constant, flavorful linger for such a light brew. Overall really tasty. Glad they have crowlers of this, because 32 ounces is a solid serving size for this one.
